KENNEBUNKPORT (WGME) – The afternoon storm surge brought the biggest high tide in 40 years to Maine Thursday, nearly 14 feet, the biggest since the Blizzard of '78.

For some, while the heavy wind and snow has come and gone, the damage is already done.

Hurricane on Dock Square closed last week after a pipe burst. The weather only made matters worse Thursday night.

Luanne MacDonald is the owner and she sent CBS 13 photos of the flooding from Thursday's storm.

She says that water was above the electrical outlets inside due to intense flooding.

She had to call in the fire department to get the power shut off to the restaurant.

She says last week’s pipe burst cost thousands of dollars in damage. She was too upset to talk about what Thursday's flooding might cost her.

MacDonald says she will be meeting with insurance agents Friday to get that answer.

As well as perhaps when she may be able to open again.
