SCARBOROUGH (WGME) --- There was a five-vehicle crash on the turnpike Thursday morning.

The crash happened at around 10 a.m. near Mile 43 northbound in Scarborough.

Police say an SUV rear-ended a pickup truck, after that truck stopped for a construction area.

Then another vehicle hit the SUV, and a fourth car hit the third car.

A fifth car tried to avoid the scene, but clipped one of the cars involved.

Only two cars had to be towed, and there were no injuries.

The northbound side of I-95 was down to one lane for about 20 minutes while the scene was being cleared.

No one was charged in the crash.
