Family support center in Lewiston 'making a difference' for holidays
LEWISTON (WGME) – A family support center in Lewiston is "making a difference" this holiday season.
Wednesday, and for the next two Wednesdays, the "Hope House" on College Street is opening its doors from 10 a.m. to noon, for parents to come pick out new and gently used toys and clothing for their children.
A lot of the items are donated by "Toys for Tots" and "Books a Million."
And this year, there's a special section of books and toys for special needs children.
"Hope House" is open year round, and this is the 30th year for the "Hope for the Holidays" program.
