CMP restores power to thousands of customers
ROCKLAND (WGME) – Central Maine Power has restored electricity to thousands of customers after Tuesday’s blizzard.
Right now, CMP is showing fewer than 30 customers without power. That’s down from about 4,000 earlier in the day.
Rockland had been under a blizzard warning since 11 Tuesday morning.
For about four hours, there were visibilities below a quarter of a mile with blowing snow and high winds.
Even so, there were a few people out braving the elements in the afternoon in the midst of this latest nor'easter.
