Child at apartment when MDEA agents make drug arrests in Biddeford
BIDDEFORD (WGME) -- The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says they arrested four people for trafficking crack cocaine in Biddeford
Agents charged 37-year-old Shanna Pepin, of Biddeford, 35-year-old Kelvin Rodgers of Biddeford, 26-year-old Ricardo Middleton of Kennebunk, and 32-year-old, Roshawn Drane of Dedham, Massachusetts, with aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (crack cocaine).
For the past three months, agents have been investigating the sale of crack cocaine throughout the greater Biddeford area.
During the investigation, agents say they conducted several undercover drug purchases directly from Pepin and Rodgers.
Agents say the purchases were made within 1,000 feet of a designated drug free safe zone.
Agents searched a third floor apartment at 1 Wentworth Street Thursday around 1 p.m.
During the search, agents seized 23 grams of crack cocaine and along with other evidence of drug trafficking, according to agents.
The estimated street value of the crack cocaine is $2,500.
DHHS responded to the scene because Rodgers’ young child was present during the search.
All of the suspects were taken to the York County Jail without incident.
Bail for Pepin, Rodgers and Drane was set at $20, 000 cash.
Middleton was held without bail due to violating a previous bail.
