Body of Capt. Ben Cross returns to Maine
BETHEL (WGME) -- The body of Marine Captain Ben Cross returns home to Maine Thursday.
Captain Cross was one of three marines who died in an aircraft crash off the coast of Australia during a training mission last month.
The 26-year-old Bethel native's body will be flown into Logan Airport in Boston late Thursday afternoon and then will be escorted to his hometown.
A motorcade will make its way up I-95.
Several members of the Patriot Guard Riders will join the motorcade in Kittery, and area fire departments will gather on the Turnpike overpass in Gray.
Cross' funeral will be Saturday at Telstar High School.
