EAST KINGSTON, NH (WGME) -- An Amtrak train hit a car after the GPS told the driver to turn onto the tracks, according to the East Kingston Fire Department.

It happened in East Kingston, New Hampshire around 5 p.m. Saturday.

Neither the driver of the car nor any of the more than 50 passengers on board the train were injured.

Firefighters say the driver of the car escaped before the crash.

Investigators says the driver's GPS mistakenly told her to turn onto the tracks.

They say she left the car to get help before the collision.

The driver was reportedly not from the area.
