UPDATE: 13 discovers more complaints against Augusta photographer story image

AUGUSTA (WGME) - Earlier this month a CBS 13 On Your Side investigation reported the story of Lewiston mother Taylor Belanger, who contacted us saying an Augusta photographer won't give her the pictures of her young daughter she bought and paid for months ago.

After our story aired, we heard from several other viewers telling us they're waiting for pictures or refunds, too, from the same business owner. Wednesday we met face to fact with Little Blessings Photography owner and photographer Renee Jones. She gave us the Belanger's pictures, and we'll hand deliver them Thursday.

Belanger, and her 11-year-old daughter Ryan have waited more than eight months to get the pictures. A receipt shows Belanger paid $134.39 to Little Blessings Photography last August for photos of Ryan.

"I'm very anxious to see them, and I really appreciate you stepping up and taking them so that you can be sure I get them," Belanger told us on the phone.

Augusta mother Jessica Gray tells us, she's waiting for pictures, too. A check shows she paid Jones $120 last November for baby pictures of her now 8-month-old son Gavin.

"He's just so precious. You want to try to capture that; that's why you have pictures done. They're so beautiful and little," Gray said.

Gray says six months after the shoot, Jones hasn't sent the pictures of Gavin.

"We still don't have them ... it's really frustrating. I'm just sad I'm not going to get those pictures, and I just don't understand why somebody won't deliver what was promised," Gray said.

We talked with several other mothers who sent us the unused gift certificates they bought from Jones for photo-shoots they say never happened. Jones didn't want to do an interview with CBS 13, but she explained in a statement all the business problems have to do a personal situation and what she calls a "nasty divorce."

"I am finally in a position to be able to take care of the things I was forced to put aside. I have taken full responsibility for the financial chaos that was created in my life," Jones said.

She says in the past week she sent out $2,600 in refunds to her customers. She showed us check stubs for $1,700 in refunds to 16 customers.

"I am deeply sorry to all of those who have been affected. I'm in your corner, I am fighting this battle with you not against you," Jones said in the statement.

Late Wednesday afternoon, several mothers told us they got checks in the mail. As for the baby pictures of Gavin, Jones said she would e-mail them.
