STATEWIDE (WGME) - A storm will arrive midday Monday that brings us snow and blustery conditions. The snowfall rates will not be impressive, but the long period over which it is snowing will cause significant accumulations.
Our temperatures are colder than previous snowstorms, resulting in a higher snow to liquid ratio.
This also causes the snow to be lighter, drier, and fluffier. This type of snow is conducive to being blown easily. Winds from the northeast 20-25 mph, gusting up to 35 mph will have no problem manipulating the falling snow.
The snow will continue Monday night and linger into early Tuesday morning.
