NH man accused of killing 2-year-old appears in court
UPDATED: 11:23 PM EDT
PORTSMOUTH (WGME) -- A New Hampshire man is being held on $250,000 bail after police say he wrapped a 2-year-old boy in blankets and a rope, and placed a 15-pound duffel bag on his chest. The boy died.
Jared Pope is charged with Manslaughter in the death of Noah York, the son of Pope's girlfriend.
Pope appeared by a video conference on Monday. Prosecutors say it is possible more charges could be filed against him, hinting that this was not the first time Pope has done something like this.
Relatives of York's mother stormed out of court, one man suggesting on camera that he is "gonna get" Pope.
