MONMOUTH (WGME) – An update on our "Making a Difference" story last week, a big success for a high school student hoping to help the Travis Mills Foundation.

“Horses for Armed Forces" was a fundraiser created as a senior project by Emily Burgess of Monmouth Academy to benefit the Travis Mills Foundation.

Burgess was hoping to raise about $1,000, but exceeded that goal, raising over $1,600. A specially designed outdoor fireplace will also be donated to the Travis Mills Retreat for Wounded Veterans and their Families.
